It was so nice out today, and we took a quick stroll to the park with Meg and Naomi. Sadly, this is the last image of Naomi's new Stride Rites. We lost them on the way to the park.
Max's day care sent me home with this masterpiece the other day. It is from September, so who knows how good he is now. This is actually not his first painting; they have been painting with him since he started there (at 12 weeks!). He used to cry when they made him paint, but now he likes it. But he does not like to eat it.
Max woke up at 6 a.m. today, which I will gladly accept now that he is sleeping through the night. (I should seriously become the spokesperson for the Ferber approach to sleep-training.) But after some tummy time and a few renditions of the ABCs (English and French), he was worn out by 7:30 and had to take a quick cat nap. He rolled over and put his hand in his mouth and just relaxed for about five minutes. I couldn't believe it when he actually fell asleep on the floor.
This weekend, we made Swedish pancakes, which are very thin pancakes often topped with a tangy Lingonberry sauce (both the mix and berries are readily available in Andersonville, a Swedish neighborhood). On cue, Max woke up from his nap just as we sat down to eat, so we decided to practice using the high chair. It was a very exciting morning.
It seems we go through various phases with our photos ... first, it was Max in the bouncy seat, then the discovery gym, then the jumper. And, always the Bjorn. But I think we're in a new phase with the outdoor swing. What a fun way to spend the morning -- a stroll to the coffee shop and park with our friends Meg and Naomi.
