Picture Day

Today was picture day at Max's day care, but he doesn't go to day care on Wednesdays, so we had to stage our own.

Swing Time

Max tested out the baby swing at Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend. I had no idea he was big enough for this, and now I'm so excited to take him to the park in Chicago this fall.

Play Date

Some of the Girls Night Girls popped by with their babies while we were in Indy last weekend. Max was so excited to play with Audrey and Austin. It was tough to get everyone in one shot, and it looks like we all grabbed the baby who was closest to us.

Harrison Turns One

We celebrated our nephew Harrison's first birthday while in Bloomington this past weekend. Harrison enjoyed his first taste of cake and Danza went all out with the decorations, which could have been featured in a Domino spread. (Oh how I miss Domino!)

Maxwell was feeling festive, too.

It's Still Summer

A recent trip to Bloomington made us realize that summer is not quite over. All we needed was:

A little cornhole ...A little corn ...
Quality family time ...
And beer.

Four Months

Maxwell is four months old, and has hit several new milestones: 1) He passed the 16 lb. marker -- nearly doubling his birth weight, 2) He eats rice cereal ... and loves it!, 3) He can do raspberries -- which is especially adorable with a mouth full of drool.

Little Rock

We spent Labor Day weekend in Little Rock visiting some of Justin's family. Max did OK on the flights ... Justin graded him a C- on the way out and a B- on the way home. But it was a fun adventure, and Jon and Jen were amazing hosts.

Jen is a fabulous cook. I wish I would have photographed our Japanese dinner on our first night (inspired by their two-year stint in Tokyo) -- the tuna sashimi, crispy-skinned salmon and Asian beef bowl were both beautiful and delicious!!

We spent one afternoon at the River Market in downtown Little Rock, which was basically a giant farmer's market with live music and artsy vendors.

Here we are showing support of the Arkansas Razorbacks on the season opener.

Justin and Jon broke out an old game of Statis Pro -- a strange baseball simulation game from the 70s.

Max slept in the KidCo Peapod, which was much more portable than a pack-n-play. It worked out well, but he moved around a lot, and I often found him sleeping sideways.
