Little Rock

We spent Labor Day weekend in Little Rock visiting some of Justin's family. Max did OK on the flights ... Justin graded him a C- on the way out and a B- on the way home. But it was a fun adventure, and Jon and Jen were amazing hosts.

Jen is a fabulous cook. I wish I would have photographed our Japanese dinner on our first night (inspired by their two-year stint in Tokyo) -- the tuna sashimi, crispy-skinned salmon and Asian beef bowl were both beautiful and delicious!!

We spent one afternoon at the River Market in downtown Little Rock, which was basically a giant farmer's market with live music and artsy vendors.


Here we are showing support of the Arkansas Razorbacks on the season opener.


Justin and Jon broke out an old game of Statis Pro -- a strange baseball simulation game from the 70s.

Max slept in the KidCo Peapod, which was much more portable than a pack-n-play. It worked out well, but he moved around a lot, and I often found him sleeping sideways.
